Ari Farkas earned his Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law in 2001 and was admitted to the Connecticut bar. His practice is devoted exclusively to Federal Immigration Law, with a specific focus on Corporate Immigration Law and Risk Mitigation. With more than two decades of experience advising complex corporate clients and high-net worth individuals.


Jurisdiction

Admitted in Connecticut, Ari maintains a national and international practice limited to U.S. Federal Immigration Law. He represents clients before USCIS, the Department of Labor, Customs and Border Protection, and the Department of State at U.S. consular posts worldwide. His clients routinely span multiple JURISDICTIONs and cross border corporate structures.


Academic Profile

Ari received his undergraduate degree in Political Science, and his law degree from Boston University. He has delivered continuing legal education lectures and presented before law firms in the United States and abroad on corporate immigration strategy, compliance exposure, and cross border workforce mobility.


Career Background

With twenty-one years of experience, Ari began his career in commercial litigation and   at international corporate law firms before serving as Chair of U.S. Business Immigration at a multinational firm.

In 2021, he founded A. Farkas Immigration, a boutique practice built on a high-touch, client centric model dedicated solely to Immigration Law. He serves as Managing Partner and oversees the firm’s Corporate and Risk Mitigation practice. The firm consists of six attorneys and a dedicated professional staff supporting sophisticated domestic and global clients.


Practical Scope

Approximately ninety five percent of Ari’s practice is devoted to corporate and employment based immigration. He advises multinational corporations, financial institutions, family offices, biotech companies, manufacturing enterprises, non-profits, and high-growth technology companies.

His work includes H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN and H-3 nonimmigrant visas and EB-1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 Immigrant petitions. He regularly represents founders, C-suite executives, and high-net worth individuals.

A core focus of his practice is Immigration Risk Mitigation in the context of mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructuring. He advises companies before, during, and after transactions to preserve workforce continuity and mitigate successor liability exposure.

He conducts internal Form I-9 audits, develops enterprise level compliance frameworks, provides training, and represents employers in government investigations. His approach integrates immigration strategy into broader corporate governance and risk mitigation planning.
